Technically this song is quite a simple one. All the verses (except

consist of a single picked pattern, (with embellishments here and
there) and a
single string melody. When playing the bars with the common picking
pattern
let the D and B strings ring out. Verse 3 which uses the same shapes
as the chorus.
Guitar 1 plays the main parts in the song.
The chorus' all use the same shape which correspond to 3 D-notes being
played in
unison. When playing the chorus' make sure you spend some time getting
the picking
attack right and the overall feel. If you play it just as its written
down then its
going to sound dull, flat, boring etc. Put a bit of life into it. Make
sure your
guitar is in tune, since the 3 D's in unison can sound fairly
'unforgiving' if your
tuning isn't up to scratch.
Guitar 2 is used in the guitar solos only.
Both solos contain the same ideas with only minor variations between
each other.
The second guitar solo is used to bring the song to a close. Both
solos convey a
very Spanish/flamenco feel. If/when you play the rhythm track behind
the guitar
solo make sure you play it a little more vigourously than when its
played in the
normal chorus.
In the song theres a lot going off in to hide what the guitar is
doing.
There are the usual orchestrial parts, 3-part vocal harmonies, a
buried
mandolin track on chorus 2 and a glockenspiel with delay on the guitar
