Flight of the Conchords Petrov Yelyena and Me Lyrics

Petrov Yelyena and Me
Flight of the Conchords
This is only meant to get you started
This is a great song to play around other people, while FoTC has become quite popular,
song remains mostly unknown. That being said there are a few things to know before
to learn this song:
Unlike most FoTC songs, this is a waltz and is played in 3/3 time signature, for those
of what that means think of every Chord as divided into 3 parts. 1st is the Bass, and 2nd
3rd are the rhythm, it sounds much better if you play the bass once, and the rhythm 4
for the sake of simplicity i have tabbed out only 2 beats of the rhythm.
Intro:
Verse (the bass note matches up to which the upper case letter of the word you should sing:
pEtrov yeLena and Me Lost but Happy at
Sea Petrov Yelena Me
Would'nt sOmething Eat well
(let these chords ring)
I say Plenty of Fish in Sea but All that See is
Me
This repeats one more time for the second verse.
Afterwards there's a dialogue between "Me" and Petrov, this is all played repeating over:
When the dialogue is over everything is shifted up one fret for the next verse which is
F and D#, the fashion that this is played in is the same as before
the next verse is shifted up yet again
For the creepy Oooooo Ooooo part it repeats B and changes to F
after this verse it slows down and goes back to the original chords:
When awOke they Already Dead and All that Left of
Me was myHead No not Dead Just a Head
it then repeats the last line
Lost Happy at Sea
Lost lonely at Sea
and as a closer it ends with
"lost but so LONEEEEELLEEEYYY" as an extended D chord strummed really fast "at seaaaaa!"
E D A let ring
lost but so LOOOONNNEELLLLLYY at Seeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaa
