في البدء خلق الله السماء والأرض.

وكانت الأرض خربة وخالية.
And darkness was upon the face of the deep.
وكان الظلام على وجه الغمر.
And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
وروح الله يرف على وجه المياه.

فليكن هناك ضوء
And there was light.

ورأى الله النور،
