Buy Myself a Chance Lyrics
Here's how I play the walkup from E to C#m. Right after I strum the
E chord two times....
E]------------------
B]------------------
G]------------------
D]------------------
A]------0-2-3-4-----
E]--0-4-------------
I don't know it that's right but it sounds fine to me.
The other thing I wanted to point out was the F#,G# and A chords
in the 3rd line of the chorus. I think he plays these in
power chords, and then does a little walkup to the B chord...
E]-------------------------------------------
B]-------------------------------------------
G]-------------------------------------------
D]-------4------6------7---------------------
A]-------4------6------7------0-1-2----------
E]-------2------4------5---------------------
All the other A chords are played like a normal A chord
Intro:
I've been watching you stare at the floor
That guy's got two left feet
I might be wrong but I think you're bored
You look like someone that I'd like to meet
I could walk over and say hello
I think I need one more drink
It's lookin like you're getting ready to go
Gotta find something to say now let me think
Well if things don't work out by the next song
and you're lookin for someone who can dance
I'll be right over here by the jukebox
With a quarter in my hand, trying to buy myself a chance
Saw my reflection in an empty glass
So I rehearsed my line
I aint lookin for trouble
I know you came in here with him tonight
Well here goes nothing, I hope its something
Walking across the floor
Cross my fingers, I tap your shoulder and I say
Ive never done this before
