A Lifetime of Adventure Lyrics
Easiest ways to play it:
1. Standard tuning, capo 6
2. Half step down tuning, no capo (transpose 5 steps down to the key of Em, play open chords)
3. Standard tuning, no capo (transpose 6 steps down to the key of Ebm, play bar chords)
4. Half step down tuning, capo 7
-You could play with more people tuned in these different ways (combination of 1
and 2 might sound very powerful, add 3 or even 4 and you'll have the entire
orchestra covered? kind of).
-1 and 4 will probably sound the same, for your information.
Both lyrics and chords I transcribed by ear in about two hours.

You can kind of guess the chords of course, but I'll still point out how I play it.
YOU MIGHT WANT TO TAKE A LOOK AT THE "Am/D" BELOW.
Am/D (actually it's a "C 6add9(no 5th)", but I wrote it as Am/D because that's easier to follow)
INTRO:
VERSE 1:
To be rich is
to still re- member
To treasure your first dime
To have a chance to say farewell
CHORUS:
Story of your life
Time of solitude and strife
Freedom of the northern road
Hoping many miles to go
Promises to keep
Countless gold fields to reap
To be rich is to seek
To relive the memory
VERSE 2:
Far off lands, quests of old
Self respect, true grit
Never care, my fortune, my wife
To seek is to be rich
CHORUS:
Story of your life
Time of solitude and strife
Freedom of the northern road
Hoping many miles to go
Promises to keep
Countless goldfields to reap
To be rich is to seek
To relive the memory
BRIDGE:
All the strangers on your path
Crossroads that lead us from home
The cooling hymn for soulful Yuletid hearth
All the songs of wilderness
The truth in which you fall
They're your lost troves, but that's what you recall
CHORUS:
Story of your life
Time of solitude and strife
Freedom of the northern road
Hoping many miles to go
Promises to keep
Countless goldfields to reap
To be rich is to seek
To relive the memory
(repeat chorus)
Guitar solo (which is very, very long?)
