Slow and Steady Wins the Race Liedtext Deutsche Übersetzung

This is my first tab, and I'm not sure that it's 100% right, but it gets the point across.
Dies ist mein erster Tab, und ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob er zu 100 % richtig ist, aber er bringt es auf den Punkt.
All the way to grandma's house
Bis zu Omas Haus
I stayed on the narrow path
Ich blieb auf dem schmalen Pfad
But my brother wandered off
Aber mein Bruder ist abgewandert
Deep into the woods
Tief in den Wald hinein
Bitten twice by rattle snakes
Zweimal von Klapperschlangen gebissen
Tangled up in poison oak
Verheddert in Gifteiche
He fell down and broke his legs
Er fiel hin und brach sich die Beine
Into a great ravine
In eine große Schlucht
When I arrived at grandma's house
Als ich bei Oma ankam
She had made us tea and cake
Sie hatte uns Tee und Kuchen gemacht
She asked me where my brother was
Sie fragte mich, wo mein Bruder sei
I said I don't know and ate
Ich sagte, ich weiß es nicht und aß
When I get to heaven I'll be greeted warmly
Wenn ich im Himmel ankomme, werde ich herzlich begrüßt
Surrounded by angels
Umgeben von Engeln
As jesus takes my hand
Als Jesus meine Hand nimmt
I'll receive a mansion
Ich werde eine Villa erhalten
On the river jordan
Am Fluss Jordan
And a crown of diamonds
Und eine Krone aus Diamanten
For a race well run
Für ein gut gelaufenes Rennen
I won't ever lock my doors
Ich werde meine Türen niemals abschließen
I will trust my neighbors
Ich werde meinen Nachbarn vertrauen
Confident that they deserve
Zuversichtlich, dass sie es verdienen
To be there in heaven, too
Auch im Himmel dabei zu sein
