Switchfoot Might Have Ben Hur Lyrics

Title: Might Have Ben Hur
Copyright 1997 Meadowgreen Music / Sugar Pete Songs / ASCAP
Intro (with slight distortion) note: I believe that Jon doesn't change the
distortion at all but I don't have the right amp or any dis. pedal to find
out.
G------------6~~~~---6---------6h7------------6^(6)^(6)^(6)fade out
A-7harm----------------------------------------------------
Verse One
E5* E5* D5 D5 /F5*Hold
(Guitar and bass share the riff and it's hard to tell if the guitar is playing
the bass notes too because they are octaves so I included bass so you can play
the whole thing all by yourself!) note: keep high notes short and an optional
A5 can be played at the end of the F5* E5* lick instead of hitting the A bass
note
Riff One
(Repeat Riff One)
G-4-(4)/6~~~--6--------6h7---------------------------------------
D----------------6/7\6------6-4--/2-------7-9-10p9--7-/9--11~~~~~
B------------------------------10--10-(10)b12r10------------------------------
G-------9--9-(9)b11r9----9h11------------------------4-4^4-2-4-6-6^(6)^(6)^(6)
D-11h12--------------------------------------------7--------------------------
Verse Two
F#5 E5 D5 D5 E5* E5* D5 D5 /F5*Hold
(Riff One) F5* E5* (Riff One) F5* E5* F5 G5 A5 A5
(Riff One) F5* E5* (Riff One) F5* E5* F5 G5
A---7--------- A(Bar form w/ B and e strings muted)
BIG note: Chords with an * after their name means that the chord is to be
played on the A string not the E string.
Even more notes: In the chorus Jon doesn't realy play the 2 on the D
string but why not? Also, the F#5 in the verses may be a G5. Finally, 5
chords are power chords and I prefer to include the octave when playing
this song, but it's up to you.
