Salvation Lyrics

Charlie Hall Salvation Lyrics

(Riff 1 - see below)
Salvation spring up from the ground
Lord, rend the heavens and come down
Seek the lost and heal the lame
Jesus bring glory to Your name
Let all the prodigals run home
All of creation waits and groans
Lord, we’ve heard of Your great fame
Father, cause all to shout Your name
(Riff 2)
Stir up our hearts, oh God
Awaken our spirits to awe who You are
Put a cry in us
So deep inside that we cannot find
The words we need
We just weep and cry out to You
(Riff 3)
(For those of you who don't know what a riff is, it's
the guitar solos/picking, etcetera. I will put the
"regular" (technical) notes here, too, so you can see
what we play.)
Riff 1: (Played during the first part of the song)
B E B E A E A E G# E G# E A E A E (These are the technical notes)
Riff 2: (Played with bass and guitar right after the first part of the song)
C#/D C# B A G E C#/D C# B A G E G A G A G E (/=slide)
Riff 3: (Played as guitar solo)
During the "Salvation Spring up from the ground", the second time on,
it is the power chord of E on the E string. It's held during the first
four lines. The other instruments play the E - A2 thing still.
At the beginning of "Let all the prodigals run home" the guitar slides
from the power chord of D to the power chord of E on the A string. I
believe this, too, is held for the four lines.
