Panheads Forever Lyrics

by David Allan Coe

David Allan Coe Panheads Forever Lyrics

I play the Dsus4 in a couple of places because it's something I
incorporated and I like the way it sounds. You can leave that out
if it works better for you. On the other hand, the G to C picking
step that I tabbed out should be picked or at least walked up from
the G to the strummed C chord.
Leaving out this part of the song is uncivilized and frowned upon
in certain circles (e.g.,drunken audiences).
Verse 1:
She's hard to get started, she's always so cold
In the mornings I find her, she's looking so old
So many miles I've been down that road once or twice
Verse 2:
She's not much to look at when we ride thru town
But I know when the chips fall, she won't let me down
us4
She knows when to run and she don't run around on her man
Chorus: (slightly stronger chords)
She's a high flyin' lady, she takes me where I want to be
There's no other woman standing between her and me
I'll always be faithful and keep her 'til the end of time
God knows I'll always love that old Panhead of mine
Verse 3:
I've seen fancy dressers and they've caught my eye
I rode'em to ride'em then I told them goodbye
us4
I flirted with Low Riders, Sportsters and Shovelheads too
I cussed her and beat her and kicked her to just get her started
(Pick through while singing)
A couple of t-i-m-e-s
God knows I'll always love
That old Panhead of mine
She's a high flyin' lady, she takes me where I want to be
There's no other woman standing between her and me
I'll always be faithful and keep her 'til the end of time
God knows I'll always love that old Panhead of mine
God knows I'll always love that old Panhead of mine
God knows I'll always love
