Davy by Carly Simon
from the album "Letters Never Sent"
Carly Simon: Acoustic Guitar and Vocals
Andreas Vollenweider: Electric Harp
Walter Keiser: Drums
I can't believe there are no Carly Simon songs in the OLGA !
Well, here's a pretty little tune from "Letters Never Sent".
I first heard her perform it on the "Live from Grand Central"
TV special and really liked it.
I play this by fingerpicking with a capo on first fret. I'm not
sure why it's played in Eb. Maybe it has something to do with the
tuning of the electric harp.

Davy is there a song out there in the night for us ?
Davy is there the kind of smile that you read about ?
There are ghosts who would warn me Keep me alone
Davy are you the heat I feel in my foolish heart ?
Davy there's not a day that I haven't prayed
To feel something so worthy for someone like you

Davy could there be love so bright like to jump off the sea ?
Davy did I im - agine it or did you look at me ?
With a look so bold that I had to look away But
if it feels alright (Play 6x)
And it feels alright
