Sometimes (I Wish) Lyrics

City and Colour Sometimes (I Wish) Lyrics

So I know that there are a few other tabs of this song on the site, but after trying
them they don't seem
quite right to me. Here is what I think is right, but if I am wrong, please don't
hesitate to comment below.
Enjoy.
This song is in Standard Tuning with a capo on the 6th fret, all tabs are in
relation to the capo.
I wasn't able to figure out a way to show the strumming pattern, so just listen to the
song to get it right
(it's a fairly simple pattern) I also am not 100% positive on the solo, but I did my
best and if you play
it at the right speed it sounds about right; once again, feel free to comment with any
changes to the solo.
LYRICS
INTRO x 5 throughout first verse
If I was a simple man,
Would we still walk hand in hand?
And if I suddenly went blind,
Would you still look in my eyes?
What happens when I grow old?
And all my stories have been told?
Will your heart still race for me?
Or will it march to a new beat?
If I was a simple man
RI x 4
VRS x 5
If I was a simple man,
I'd own no home, I'd own no land
Would you still stand by my side?
And would our flame still burn so bright?
Sometimes I wonder why,
I'm so full of these endless rhymes
About the way I feel inside
I wish I could just get it right
RI x 2
VRS x 3
If I was a simple man
And I could make you understand
There'd be no reason to think twice
You'd be my sun; you'd be my light
If I was a simple man...
If I was a simple man...
VRS x 8
Sometimes I wonder why
I'm so full of these endless rhymes
About the way I feel inside
I wish...
Sometimes...Sometimes...
Sometimes...Sometimes...
Sometimes...Sometimes...
Sometimes...Sometimes...
Sometimes...Sometimes...
Sometimes...Sometimes...
