Status Quo Gentleman Joe's Sidewalk Cafe Lyrics

This song was meant to be released by Pye records as Status Quos' first US single but at
last minute it was decided to release it as the B-side of 'Pictures of Matchstick Men',
Double-A record and it went to number 20 in the US billboard ratings.
I searched every where for this but in the end it was quicker to work it out.
Intro - as existing tab on here......then
C (not strummed on the original)
Hey Joe,
Would you please lend me your ear?
I've got to know if everything's alright
Hey Joe, have you seen my baby here?
Oh we used to share a table every night
Hey Joe, she's the only girl whose ever
Meant anything at all
If I lose her I lose all.......all
Joe, if you've seen her won't you say
Or point in the direction she did go......oh
Every night, under the light of the moon
Under a table we'd choose, she'd take off her shoes......
And rub her feet against mine......ine
Joe, would you please lend me your ear?
I've got to know if everything's alright
Hey Joe, have you seen my baby here?
Oh we used to share a table every night
Hey Joe............(to fade)
A lovely bit of 60's that could be covered now and still be great.
Enjoy
