#This is a great acoustic song for a great "new" Jayhawks. If they can
#keep putting together albums like this one I don't think they will have
#any problems, that's not to say that I didn't like Marc Olson in the
#band, but the new sound is incredible.
#
#This song is pretty easy, but there is one kind of tricky part when it
#comes to the C-F-C-G combo. This part will be diagramed like this C h F
#C G C. What I mean by this is that it sounds like there is a little bit
#of hammering on going on during the C-F-C-G progression. It is more or
#less when the C goes to F and then back to C. After a few times you
#should be able to hear it. Sorry if the slashes confuse you, they make
#it easier for me to time it out.

#Verse #1
#
It's a matter of time
Till I, fall in the middle of the
Town, the stands, the tall brick walls
C Am Am pull off
Isn't love a dream, time plays in between
The sound lies rings funny
Em7 C h F C G C F C
against the truth
Verse #2
When I was young, outspoken
Mama said it'd work out right
C G (the F in this part is )
When the 60s brought a moody star (for the most part just)
G F C (quick hammer on, then )
Mama said it'd work out right (back to the C, except )
F C (the last part )
Mama said it's work out right
Boulevards and ???????????????(I dont have the cd book with me)
Mmmmmm hmmmmmmm
Mmmmmmmmmm
Verse #3
It's a matter of time
Till I, fall in the middle of the
Town, the stands, the tall brick walls
C Am Am pull off
Isn't love a dream, time plays in between
The sound lies rings funny
Em7 C h F C G C F C
against the truth
>>Instrumental break (follows same pattern as rest of song)
Verse #4
It's a matter of time
Till I, fall in the middle of the
Town, the stands, the tall brick walls
C Am Am pull off
Isn't love a dream, time plays in between
The sound lies rings funny
Em7 C h F C G C
against the truth
That's about it. I am pretty confident with most of it, but I know there
are a few grey areas so any suggestions would be great.
