Move Together Lyrics

James Bay - Move Together
The Dark of the Morning

Key of Bb
I figured this out from the live video of him playing acoustically. I believe the EP
version slightly differs.
James plays this song tuned a whole step down (DGCFAd), but it will be written by
standard chord shape as if in standard tuning. If you'd like to play in key but do not want
tune your guitar down then press the transpose down arrow to the left twice.
Several times throughout the song James plays a certain "riff" based on an F chord that
goes like this:
All 1's on the low D are held by your thumb.
Throughout the verse he also regularly does hammer ons and pull offs between open and
the second fret on the C string then plays the third fret on the low D before
transitioning to Am.

Chords used:
Home now... end of the night
It's colder... to turn on your side
And I know you're... up in two hours
We didn't get tonight, we don't have tomorrow
G C Am F (riff)
So don't ruin now.
How we gonna move together? Just come closer
If we don't move together, just come closer
How we gonna breathe? How we gonna be together?
Just keeping the peace between the sheets
And I creep in... everything's loud
I'm sorry... for waking you now
And we argue... the tiniest thing
We didn't get tonight, we don't have tomorrow
G C F (riff)
So I'm done whispering, done whispering.
How we gonna move together? Just come closer
If we don't move together, just come closer
How we gonna breathe? How we gonna be together?
Just keeping the peace between the sheets
So maybe don't give me cold, cold shoulder
Before you go turn around, let me hold you
Let me sit in the dark of the morning
F (riff)
Yeah, it's more one thing now
How we gonna move together? Just come closer
If we don't move together, just come closer
How we gonna breathe? How we gonna be together?
Just keeping the peace...
Just keeping the peace...
F C/E Dm C (hold)
Just keeping the peace between these sheets.
Enjoy!
