There are two guitar parts in the song, one for the left side of the
recording and one for the right side. I put down the two separate
parts for the intro, which is the main progression of the song, but for
the rest of the song Ive left it as just one guitar because they play
pretty much the same thing. Hope it makes sense.
Oh yeah, tune down half a step and drop low string to Db.
INTRO/FIRST PART OF VERSE:
(Left side)
(Right side)
REST OF THE VERSE:
eb---------------0-----------0h2---------------------------------2-----|
CHORUS:
eb-----2---------2---------------0h2---0----------2---------2---------------|
(Second verse is the same as the first up until the key change)
2ND VERSE KEY CHANGE (UP A STEP):
-ussus
(Left side)
(Right side)
THE REST OF THE 2ND VERSE:
Verse 1:
Sometimes his eyes were gentle and filled with laughter
And sometimes they cried
Sometimes there was a fire of holy anger
In Jesus' eyes
But the eyes that saw hope in the hopeless
That saw through the fault to the need
Are the same eyes that look down from heaven
ss
Into the deepest part of you and me
Chorus:
And his eyes are always upon us
His eyes never close in sleep
And no matter where you go you will always be in his eyes
Verse 2:
Sometimes his voice comes calling like rolling thunder
Or like driving rain
And sometimes his voice is quiet and we start to wonder
If he knows our pain
But he who spoke peace to the water
Cares more for our heart than the waves
And the voice that once said you're forgiven
su
Still says you're forgiven today, today
KEY CHANGE EVERYBODY
Eno3 Emaj7 Esus E
Sometimes I look above me when the stars are shining
And I feel so small
Eno3 Emaj7 Esus E
How could the God of heaven and all creation
Know I'm here at all
But then in the silence he whispers
My child I created you too
And you're my most precious creation
su
I even gave my Son for you
(out of key change, back into chorus)
