We Love Us Lyrics
"We Love Us"
(Ted Bluechel, Jr.)
("We Love Us" on the _Insight Out_ LP and "Everything That Touches You"
B-side; retitled as "We Love" on _Greatest Hits_.)
Jim Yester, in the liner notes to the Japanese _From The Original Master
Tapes_ CD (Warner/Pioneer WPCP-3536):
One of Ted Bluechel's best romantic efforts, very light, very positive,
with lots of rich harmony. Like "Requiem For The Masses", this song
underwent two complete productions before release on "Insight Out".
Intro:
A7 (harpsichord plays 6ths here: B-G alternating with C#-A)
Verse 1:
I wake her, I hold her
I tell her I love her
And she smiles and says the same
She makes me feel like sunshine when she says my name
Verse 2:
Her laughing, her crying
Her caring, her sharing
Of my life means more to me
Than all the wealth and fame that fortune brings to me
Bridge:
Turn your head around, are you sure love's
The feeling that surrounds you
Does the question count when you feel good
As good inside as I do, do you?
Partial verse:
The sun sets, the gulls fly
We love us, she and I
Coda:
(repeat first three lines (10 bars) of intro)
D Em D Em (repeat to fade)
-- another ace 60's tab from Andrew Rogers
