Little River Band Lady Lyrics

By Little River Band
I didn't see a tab of this that I liked, so here's my version.
This is my first time tabbing something this large, but any feedback is good feedback.
I tried to get the timing of the lyrics as close as possible,
but sometimes it wasn't possible,
so listen to the song for all the right timings.
______________________________________________________________________
Acoustic guitar starts with this:
Guitar then strums a D and the piano plays:
Look
around you. Look up here
Take time to make time, make time to be there. Look
around, be a part.
feel for the winter, but dont have a cold heart.
This guitar is a clean electric with heavy reverb.
And I love you best. You're not like the rest.
You're there when I need you you're there when I need
I'm gonna need you.
Electric guitar fingerpicks what the acoustic guitar did in verse 1.
It's hard to hear what it does on the D and E chords,
but I just improvise a fingerpicking pattern. Acoustic guitar strums the chords.
A long time ago I had a lady to love
She made me think of things I never thought of
Now she's gone and I'm on my own
A love song has come into my mind
A love song, it was there all the time
horus
(All instruments just play the chords)
So lady, let me take a look at you now
You're there on the dance floor, making me want you somehow
Oh lady, I think it's only fair I should say to you
E D A (to solo)
Don't be thinkin' that I don't want you, 'cause maybe I do
Piano and acoustic guitar play Verse 2
Moderately distorted electric guitar plays:
No guitar here, so you can do whatever you want, but these are the chords:
Look around,
come to me
I have no answers, but know where I wanna be
I look around,
play a part
I was born in the winter and cooled by a warm heart
Then play the Refrain and Chorus one more time, but finish the chorus with this:
E D A (to riff)
Don't be thinkin' that I don't want you cause maybe I do
Riff
Don't be thinkin' that I don't want you, cause lady I do
(And sorry, but I didn't take time to learn the outro. I usually just improvise it.)
