g tunes to e standard...remove the capo and you have it tuned down
d tunes to b a step and a half
a tunes to f#
E tunes to c#
Chords Used
Babe it seems like so long
Since you heard your favorite song
playin downtown playing downtown
Ya know it seems like a while
Since the country's been in style
Now im Downtown now im downtown
Never really understood why im here in the city
Your in the fields walking around
Ive been seeing too much trouble here and I
Here for you
Ive been standing here for days
Looking for some kind of change
But Ive had no luck to speak of
Solo is Pedal steel but guitar plays same rhythm
C-strum once
Take a trip out of the heart
C G Am--strum these three once lightly
when the trains and troubles start
If your downtown if your downtown
Never really understood why Im here in the city
Your in the fields walking around
I've been seeing too much trouble here and Im
Here for you
Ive been seeing too much trouble here and Im
Here for you
Babe it seems like so long
Babe it seems like so long
Babe it seems like so long
Babe it seems like so long
So long so long
a few points of interest..the part of the song immediately before
and after the solo where the chords are played C G C G C
you will hear what sounds like a slide so I play it like this
-1-1-1-1s-3-3-3-3-1-1-1-1s-3-3-3-3-1-
-2-2-2-2s-5-5-5-5-2-2-2-2s-5-5-5-5-2-
-3-3-3-3s-5-5-5-5-3-3-3-3s-5-5-5-5-3-
So basically you slide the C position towards the
G barred Chord to get that slide sound..the fingering isnt
in the same form so youll have to change position fairly fast
Also..any point in the song where he goes from an F to a Dm
There are two notes you hit in between these chords
youll notice where on the song when you hear it..its around
the part where he sings "I've been"
So that's basically it..pretty easy song but oh so good
