Tonight, Tonight Lyrics
performed by the Smashing Pumpkins
from the album Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness
Unfortunately, my orchestral string ensemble is in the shop right now, so i
couldn't tab out that part :>
Fortunately, this album, Billy was brave and included the lyrics.
The bass is also tuned down and plays the theme Cb, Bb, Db in the key of Cb.
Key of C flat

The rythm part:
time is never time at all
you can never ever leave without leaving a piece of youth
and our lives are forever changed we will never be the same
the more you change the less you feel
believe, believe in me, believe (believe)
that life can change, that you're not stuck in vain
we're not the same, we're different tonight
tonight, tonight, so bright
tonight, tonight
and you know you're never sure
but you're sure you could be right
if you held yourself up to the light
and the embers never fade in your city by the lake
the place where you were born
believe, believe in me, believe (believe)
in the resolute urgency of now
and if you believe there's not a chance tonight
tonight, tonight, so bright
tonight, tonight
we'll crucify the insincere tonight (tonight)
we'll make things right, we'll feel it all tonight (tonight)
we'll find a way to offer up the night tonight
the indescribable moments of your life tonight
the impossible is possible tonight (tonight)
believe in me as i believe in you, tonight
tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight...
Ok..goodnight
Dennis.

TONIGHT, TONIGHT - Smashing Pumpkins
This song has a very "Disarm-y" feel. It is downtuned half a step.
I have labelled these as Figs because the order is quite complicated, there
is no definite verse/chorus pattern. Strumming patterns and chord changes
are easy so I haven=92t bothered illustrating it.
Fig1:
G E x2=20
(strum each many times)
Fig2:

End song with tonight tonight a few times while playing Rhy Fig 1(omit 3rd)
The last chords are G D Em. I find that you get a more dramatic exit
