here's a great tune from the untouchable Bruce Cockburn. it's LONER from
his his record Inner City Front. an alternate version also appears on the
compilation Mummy Dust. this transcription isn't as technical as the way
bruce plays it, but if you can sing along it sounds pretty good.
CHORDS: D xx0232
F6? 020230
E? x4x450 (regular E also works alright here)
VERSE 1: down at the bus station
shark grins and sandpaper conversation
men's faces women's bodies on the magazine stand
and a headline about sarajevo and tehran
VERSE 2: they are radiant angels they are earthly slaves
they are predators moving in their endless days
days of striving nights of novacaine
never going to bring them freedom from their pain
CHORUS: i'm a lo-----ner
with a loner's point of view
i've always been a lo-----ner
now i'm in love with you
VERSE 3: wild shadows acid verbs
eyelids opening dans mon coeur
tu me touche comme la pression
des etoiles sur les tenebres
VERSE 4: in the elevator and empty hall
how'm i ever going to hear you when you call
i'm always living and i always die
on the event horizon of your eye
CHORUS again
hope this ok. works for me. brilliant song from the best songwriter AND
guitar player there is. enjoy.

abandoned their dreams and settled
for making a little money. -Dan Bern
