In Color Lyrics

Jamey Johnson In Color Lyrics

This is my very first tab. Please let me know if there are any mistakes.
I am sick and tired of people writing tabs that have the "F" chord in them
for this song. THIS TAB IS THE CLOSEST TO BEING CORRECT ON THE
INTERNET!! I even wrote up the intro. It's not 100% correct but it's
damn close for being transposed from multiple guitars.
EADGBe
C x32013 (hammer the 4th string during every verse, listen to the song)
*Intro*
*Verse*
I said Grandpa what's this picture here
It's all black and white and it ain't real clear
Is that you there He said yeah, I was 11
And times were tough back in '35
That's me and Uncle Joe just tryin' to survive
A cotton farm in the Great Depression
*Chorus*
If it looks like we were scared to death
Like a couple of kids just tryin' to save each other
You should've seen it in color
*Verse*
Ooh and this one was taken overseas
In the middle of hell in 1933 in the winter time
You can almost see my breath
That was my tailgunner ol' Johnny Mcgee
He was a high school teacher from New Orleans and he had my back
Right through the day we left
*Chorus*
If it looks like we were scared to death
Like a couple of kids just tryin' to save each other
You should've seen it in color
A picture's worth a thousand words
But you can't see what those shades of gray keep covered
You should've seen it in color
*Verse*
This one is my favorite one
This is me and Grandma in the summer sun
All dressed up the day we said our vows
You can't tell it here but it was hot that June
That rose was red and her eyes were blue
Just look at that smile, I was so proud
*Bridge*
That's the story of my life
Right there in black and white
*Chorus*
And if it looks like we were scared to death
Like a couple of kids just tryin' to save each other
You should've seen it in color
A picture's worth a thousand words
C--------------pause in strumming----------- C/G
But you can't see what those shades of gray keep covered
You should've seen it in color
(Guitar solo)
Yeah a picture's a worth a thousand words
But you can't see what those shades of gray keep covered
You should've seen it in color
(Strum out to the chorus chord progression and strum a G chord to end)
