Somewhere in Between Lyrics
by Phil Vassar
Greg,
Thanks for the great site. I've learned a fair number of songs from
cowpie andI wanted to contribute one I recently figured out on my own.
This is the chord progression for Phil Vassar's "Somewhere in Between"
which appears on his new CD "Phil Vassar." It's track number 10.
There's a lot of nice piano and fiddle on it so readers will have to
throw some extra variations on top of the progression if they want the
song to sound "full." I like to walk the C chord down into the Am chord
for example.

Justin

Phil Vassar - Somewhere in between
Verse 1:
Sometimes I forget that I remember
Sometimes I hold on then I let go
Sometimes I fight then I surrender
Losing you's been harder than you'll ever know...
I'm just caught here halfway there
I'm hanging in mid-air...
Chorus:
Somewhere in between
In the middle of the darkness and the light
All I can see is the hazy grey
Between the black and white
I'm not laughin' I'm not cryin'
I'm not livin' I'm not dyin'
I'm not flyin' and I'm not down on my knees
Till I'm over you I'm gonna be stuck
somewhere in between
verse 2:
Funny thing about your memory
Is how it takes me by surprise
Suddenly it sneaks up on me
comes around and cuts me down to size
There's a crossroad up ahead
I'm just not there yet
