Rich Mullins All the Way My Savior Leads Me Lyrics

"All The Way My Savior Leads Me"
(Philippians 1:6, 3:10-15)
words by Fanny J. Crosby
music by Robert Lowery
copyright 1992 Edward Grant, Inc. (ASCAP)
This tablature is an interpretation of the song as played on *The World As
Best As I Remember It, Vol. II* by Rich Mullins. It appears here as
study, scholarship, or research. It can be reproduced, but if any changes
are made before doing so, please add a note that it is not the original
version and pass along the original as well. Permission has not yet been
sought from the owners to reproduce this song. I don't think Rich or Fanny
or Robert mind, though... :)
Transcriptors: Mike Chapman & Peter Yang
Credit goes to Mike Chang for (unkowingly) providing the chords on his
website:
http://www-leland.stanford.edu/~mich/fake/rm/rmall.html
The chords are pretty simple for the most part, even the D2maj7/F# (whew!).
Other fingerings are used in the tablature, but these are listed as my
interpretation of Mike Chang's chords.

Playing tips:
Note that the tuning is a double-drop D. The song on the album is I think
played simultaneously (for the most part) by two guitars, but this is
arranged for one guitar. You won't be able to get _quite_ the same sound
as the album with only one guitar, but using a 12-string might help. (I can't
manage the harmonics very well on 12-strings). If you don't have long playing
nails, you might try using a nylon pick. On the strumming parts, I've tried
to give an impression of which strings to hit, but listen to the album to
develop your own interpretation. Pay special attention to the dynamics
(volume); it gets quite enthusiastic during some parts! For the harmonics,
you might try to use your ear to get it more exactly like the album, because
the two guitars going at once makes it pretty difficult to know exactly what
strings are being plucked. However, feel free to play whatever you like, I do!
The bars with 1234 are meter indicators. I did my best to give the rhythm of
both the guitar part and the vocals by these.
Notation key:
= harmonic () = optional note
() = guitar II notes {} = guitar II harmonic notes
h = hammer on p = pulloff
/ = slide up \ = slide down
