Really love this song! If you find any problems with this, please do comment or e-mail me!
This is the key in which it was played in, but Tessa uses a capo I believe, so it will
sound slightly different from the chords below.
Key: E
Verse 1:
You met me in my dreams last night
Same dark eyes, familiar sight
Broken words I've dreamt a hundred times
But you were strange and staggered too
Like what you said I'd scripted through
I guess this means I'm getting over you
Pre-Chorus:
Why do I still dream of you?
Why do you still come?
Is it to remind me of the evil things I've done?
Why am I still followed by your ghost, your memory?
And why do I still hope you think of me?
Chorus:
Every night inside my bed
You creep into my head
I am just a b-b-b-broken
Broken record
Every night inside my dream
I replay the same old thing
I am just a b-b-b-broken
Broken record
Verse 2:
The strangest part I'd have to say
Is I don't want him anyway
Maybe I just want what I can't have
Maybe it's the tragedy
Or maybe it's the girl in me
Who just wants to be wanted by a man
Pre-Chorus:
Or maybe I just think of him when I am on my own
'Cause maybe make believe is not as lonely as alone
Silence brings the truth, but it breaks the fantasy
The only one I'm talkin' to is me
Chorus:
Every night inside my bed
You creep into my head
I am just a b-b-b-broken
Broken record
Every night inside my dream
I replay the same old thing
I am just a b-b-b-broken
Broken record
Interlude: C#m
Bridge:
To soak in past and breath in dirt
To cling to not escaping hurt
Is it a choice repeating struggles
Maybe trapped or mostly troubled
Interlude:
Chorus:
Every night inside my bed
You creep into my head
I am just a b-b-b-broken
Broken record
Every night inside my dream
I replay the same old thing
I am just a b-b-b-broken
Broken record
Last Chord: C#m

(04/05/2014)Version 1.1: Edited last chord to C#m instead of C# (Thanks Delta_38)
To Delta_38: The G#m chord used throughout is correct. I have transposed this into
the key of C(-4 tuning) and the chord used is Em and not E. Also, in theory, the
chord progression for the chorus is 6-4-1-3, and the key is E Major.
The 2, 3 and 6 chords in major keys are minor chords. This translates to C#m-A-E-G#m.
