This is track 2 on The Verve's Urban Hymns. I found a small section of
it on the a Verve Homepage. But as usual it was incomplete and a bit to
sketchy. So here is the best Sonnet that I can do, and some credit to
Bryan Elliot for help from his version.
Chords
Intro: C(final strums with 3rd fret on high E) - Em - Am(for 3 strums
then Am7 for 1 and then Am for 3 strums then Asus4 for 1)- F(ending with
3rd fret on high E).
my friend and me,
looking thru her
red box of memories
Faded, I'm sure,
but love seems to
stick in her things you know
yes, there's love if you want it,
don't sound like a sonnet, my love
yes, there's love if you want it,
don't sound like a sonnet, my love
my love.
REPEAT INTRO
why can't you see
that nature has it's way
of warning me?
eyes open wide,
looking at the heavens
with a tear in my eye
yes, there's love if you want it,
don't sound like a sonnet, my love,
yes, there's love if you want it,
don't sound like a sonnet, my love
my love.
REPEAT INTRO
Middle 8
Sinking faster than a boat
without a hull
my love
dreaming about the day
when i can see you here
by my side
by my side
Here we go again
and my head it is gone
my love
I stop to say hello
because I think you should know
by now, by now (x7)
